About Me

The person behind the poetry

Hello, I'm smaxiso.

Welcome to my digital gallery—an archive of thoughts, stories, and quiet reflections.

The Archive

I built this space after realizing too many of my older writings had been lost to the margins of time. What started as a personal effort to preserve my work evolved into a gallery meant to be shared.

There is a quiet irony to this. Professionally, I am a data engineer—I spend my days organizing data and building systems to preserve information. Outside of work, I do something surprisingly similar: I collect thoughts and emotions before they disappear. Perhaps the difference between a dataset and a poem is smaller than it appears.

Interconnected Worlds

While some poems capture a single fleeting moment, others belong to much larger narrative arcs. Certain characters, fears, and ideas reappear across multiple works. Sometimes a poem is just a poem. Sometimes it is a chapter disguised as one.

Open Interpretation

A poem is rarely a puzzle meant to be solved. That is why many pieces here include multiple perspectives. They are not definitive answers, but open invitations. I am constantly learning and experimenting, and you are always encouraged to read between the lines in whatever way resonates with your own experiences.

Connect & Collaborate

I'm always open to discussing literature, sharing interpretations, or collaborating on creative projects. You can find me across the web:
