Embracing the Emptiness: A Journey to Self Discovery

Life slips through my fingers like sand,
A fleeting dream that I can't command.
The emptiness consumes me whole,
A black hole that swallows my soul.
I wander through crowds like a ghostly wraith,
A stranger in my own skin, a life unlived.
The loneliness is a cruel and bitter faith,
A weight that I just can't seem to rid.
Night haunts me in my dreams,
A monster that chases me to the brink.
I'm afraid of the shadows and their seams,
Of the truth that lurks behind the mask of fake love and everything.
But sometimes I find solace in the void,
A place where emptiness feels like home.
It's a place where the darkness can be enjoyed,
And the world's illusions can be outshone.
I've struggled through so much pain and strife,
And this feeling just won't let me be.
But in the emptiness, I've found a new life,
Where the truth is raw, and the masks fall free.
So I'll keep moving forward, one step at a time,
And embrace the emptiness that surrounds me.
For in the midst of darkness, we can still find a rhyme,
And a path to the person we're meant to be.
